A wraps or wraparound sling is in essence a long piece of fabric that is tied in different ways to support your baby. They are simple and flexible, and offer a wide choice of carrying positions. The differences between slings are in the fabrics they are made from, with different weaves and different levels of stretch or give.
We have divided our slings into stretchy wraps and woven wraps.
Stretchy wraps have, much more stretch in them, and are particularly suitable from newborn. They are excellent for a first time sling user as you can put them on first and then put the baby into them. We consider them perfect from newborn up to around a year, although they can be used beyond this.
Woven wraps have a lot less give to them, although enough to make them comfortable and flexible and are therefore more supportive for carrying older babies through to toddlers and beyond.
